Playhouse Theatre Academy is dedicated to offering professional theatre programs for emerging artists of all ages and abilities. All students will learn from expert faculty who will share their exceptional abilities and love of theatre. Managed by Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc., Playhouse Theatre Academy is able to provide access to professional artists, productions and opportunities through our affiliation with Playhouse on Park. Whether your goal is to be a professional actor or to explore your imagination and creativity in a new way, the Playhouse Theatre Academy is a home for quality theatre instruction.

In our ongoing efforts to offer safe and engaging programming to our community, we are offering multiple options for our students to take classes! Our 8-week sessions will be structured with live online classes, instructor videos and feedback, and optional in person classes. Watch our website for additional programming to be announced soon. AGES 4-6
Creative Kids!

Mondays 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Fall Session: classes held 9/14, 21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16

Class Description: Welcome to the world of theatre! Children will explore their creativity through imaginative play and ensemble games. Exercises and games will focus on acting, storytelling, puppetry, music, and movement. Kindergarten prerequisite, but children ages 4 and older who have attended pre-k are welcome to register with approval. Share Day on the final class over Zoom for family and friends!

Option 1: Online, virtual classes and instructor videos and feedback
Option 2: Online with 4 in person classes and instructor videos and feedback

Tuition: $135, with $15 registration fee

AGES 7-12
Young Actors Comedy/Improv

Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Fall Session: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4

Class Description: For students who love to clown around, tell jokes, and act out comedic characters! Learn to create, rehearse, and perform sketch comedy and improvisation games. Enhance creativity and imagination through characters and relationship. Share Day on the final class over Zoom for family and friends!

Advanced Young Actors: Perform a Play

Thursdays: 4:30 - 5:30 pm

Year-long class: Meets Nov 5, 12, 19, Dec 3, 10, 17, Jan 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25, Mar 4, 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8, 22, 29, May 6, 13

Class Description: This class is for teens who are interested in improving their acting and performance technique. Working with scenes, monologues, and improvisation, teens will build confidence in front of an audience and as an ensemble. Share Day on the final class over Zoom for family and friends!

Option 1: Online, virtual classes and instructor videos and feedback
Option 2: Online with 12 in person classes and instructor videos and feedback

Tuition: $350, with $15 registration fee
