Playhouse Theatre Academy is dedicated to offering professional theatre programs for emerging artists of all ages and abilities. All students will learn from expert faculty who will share their exceptional abilities and love of theatre. Managed by Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc., Playhouse Theatre Academy is able to provide access to professional artists, productions and opportunities through our affiliation with Playhouse on Park. Whether your goal is to be a professional actor or to explore your imagination and creativity in a new way, the Playhouse Theatre Academy is a home for quality theatre instruction.

In our ongoing efforts to offer safe and engaging programming to our community, we are offering multiple options for our students to take classes! Our 8-week sessions will be structured with live online classes, instructor videos and feedback, and optional in person classes. Watch our website for additional programming to be announced soon. AGES 4-6
Creative Kids!

Mondays 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Spring Session:  March 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26

Class Description: Welcome to the world of theatre! In this course, students will explore their abilities in storytelling by creating their own play with shadow puppets based on the book Little Blue Truck in Springtime by Alice Schertle. Exercises and games will focus on acting, storytelling, puppetry, and character building. Kindergarten prerequisite, but children ages 4 and older who have attended pre-k are welcome to register with approval. Share day on final day of class for family and friends!

Tuition: $135, with $15 registration fee

AGES 7-12
Young Actors Improv - Building a Scene

Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00pm
Spring Session: March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, April 7, 14, 21

Class Description: Open to new and continuing improv students! This class builds on the foundations established in Creating a Character. Students will learn the basic building blocks of theatre as they create their own scenes, as well as how their improvised characters and situations can thrive on the stage. Share day on final day of class for family and friends!
