Playhouse on Park is managed under the direction of Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. Playhouse on Park is Greater Hartford's own renowned professional theatre, offering a wide range of thought provoking, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable productions that leave audiences often smiling, sometimes crying, and always talking about what they have just experienced.
Our resident dance company, stop/time, recently celebrated its 22nd year. After its 20th—and final—annual performance in 2025, stop/time continues to maintain a strong presence at Playhouse on Park. Stay tuned for future performances!
Plays: We continue our mission to ensure every performance in the Main Stage Season educates, entertains, and most importantly, challenges our audiences.
Musicals: We present at least one musical each season, usually in the summer slot with an extended run.
But that's not all: we have comedy nights, improv cage matches, play readings, educational programs for all ages, and special events.
Hartford's most affordable and intimate professional theater, Playhouse on Park is nestled on Park Road in West Hartford, where the parking is free, the actors are right off Broadway, and the back row is just four seats from the stage.
