CREATIVE TEACHING ARTISTS
Playhouse on Park is seeking motivated, creative teaching artists for acting classes for students Grade K - Adult. Teaching artists will follow a general curriculum focused on teaching acting technique in an age appropriate, comfortable, and professional setting. Teaching artists with talents as a music director or as a movement instructor are also encouraged to apply.

Director of Education
Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, CT is seeking local, qualified applicants to fill non-AEA StageManagement positions in its upcoming 2014/2015 Season.
Standard stage management skills and duties required. Outside of normal duties our SM will also be asked to run the lighting and sound board (just hitting “go” for cues), do daily light and sound checks, basic prop and/or costume maintenance. Knowledge of AEA rules a plus. Local candidates with own transportation and housing preferred.

This position is not funded at this time. Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc is currently working on securing funding for this position OR would be interested in working with someone on a volunteer basis to find a grant that would fund a paid position.
PTG, Inc is looking for someone to write, and secure government, foundation and individual non-profit grants. We are looking for someone who is willing to grow with a young theatre company! Primary responsibilities include: preparing proposals and grant applications; performing responsible, professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of arts & culture, education and outreach.
Qualified candidates possess excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel), and database management skills. The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints. Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs. Work is performed under broad direction of the Executive Director with the majority of work performed independently.
