The Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. is seeking a Director of Education. The most viable candidate will have an energetic personality, a passion for education, and a commitment to the mission of Playhouse on Park as a resource for young theatre lovers.
The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Playhouse on Park's educational programming including, but not limited to: on-site and off-site classes, summer programs, workshops, Literature Alive field trip programs and the internship program. The Director of Education must be a team player willing to work closely with the administrative and artistic staff. He / she will maintain the education curriculum and serve as the supervisor for any teaching artists and other part time education employees. Some teaching responsibilities are required.
Additionally, the Director of Education acts as liaison between Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. and students, parents, schools, and the community for all theatre education related purposes. He / she must keep track of all education related budgets, income, and expenses; administer the financial aid program; and pursue education-related opportunities for funding. 
Applicants must have strong teaching, management, financial, communication, organization, and leadership skills. In addition, at minimum a BA in theatre, theatre education, or a related field is required. All applicants should have previous theatre education experience and enjoy working with children. This is a full time position.

The scenic charge will work directly with the Designer to achieve the artistic and aesthetic goals of each production. A qualified individual will have thorough knowledge of shop tools and tool repair, construction techniques, rigging practices, workplace safety, and the ability to supervise others. Playhouse on Park seeks a local non-equity Stage Manager for their 2015/16 main stage season which runs September 8th thru July 31st. The Stage Manager must be an skilled communicator, organized, and a motivated team player who will be responsible for the set up and break down of rehearsal space, the daily reports, create and maintain all production paperwork, and run the light board for every performance. Playhouse on Park is seeking motivated, creative teaching artists for acting classes for students Grade K - Adult.  Teaching artists will follow a general curriculum focused on teaching acting technique in an age appropriate, comfortable, and professional setting.  Teaching artists with talents as a music director or as a movement instructor are also encouraged to apply.

This position is not funded at this time. Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc is currently working on securing funding for this position OR would be interested in working with someone on a volunteer basis to find a grant that would fund a paid position.

PTG, Inc is looking for someone to write, and secure government, foundation and individual non-profit grants. We are looking for someone who is willing to grow with a young theatre company! Primary responsibilities include: preparing proposals and grant applications; performing responsible, professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of arts & culture, education and outreach.

Qualified candidates possess excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel), and database management skills. The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints. Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs. Work is performed under broad direction of the Executive Director with the majority of work performed independently.
